Italdesign is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Parts Development Team Leader, who will be employed in the Powertrain Integration Systems Team, part of the Aerodynamics, Air conditioning and Thermal management department of the Italian site of Italdesign. S/He will be responsible to reach the targets of the assigned field of development.


Responsibilities

The role, focused on the coordination of a work team aimed at the development of powertrain integration components for high volume production vehicles series, requires at least 2-3 years of experience in the automotive sector. S/He will take an active part in:

  • Definition of technical contents needed to ensure proper parts definition;
  • Overview and steer the Team during the complete project timeline;
  • Control/monitoring of timing, costs and quality of work;
  • Management of the work team, product suppliers and management of collaboration with other internal department;
  • Customer and suppliers management;
  • Achievement of the project’s technical targets relevant to the perimeter of responsibility;
  • Management of "escalation" activities relating to serious problems with a proposed solution.

Responsibilities:

  • Give clear directions and instructions to both team members (including suppliers and different team components) and stakeholders to enable them carryout their project duties; clarify the duties, roles and functions of team members;
  • Encourage contributions and input from team members and other key stakeholders on the project and acknowledge efforts made by team members and reward them accordingly;
  • Give clear and unbiased assessment of the movement and nature of projects in relations to production cost and expenses;
  • Determine the appropriate time to make advancement on projects and move on to further stages. Also, acknowledge when certain strategies aren’t effective and implement change of plans;
  • Carryout constant evaluation and adjustment within a specific period of time to ensure that both internal and external factors do not suffer;
  • Maintain direct and open interaction with managers to make sure all resources needed for the project are available and also consider the negotiation of amendments to project plans to achieve best offer;
  • Interface on a regurlarly all the different stakeholders of the projects;
  • Regularly interact and manage suppliers involved in the project checking compliance in terms of timing, performances, cost and validation.

Responsabilities

  • Organize weekly SET-Meetings: identify relevant attendees, send invitations and Agenda, prepare LOPs and Minutes;
  • Arrange, steer and manage special meetings with AUDI Finance, Purchasing, Quality, Production, Bill of Material (BOM), UAs, HT, Suppliers to solve those SET-related issues which could not be solved during the regular SET Meetings;
  • Attend the following meetings and providing all the necessary documents, where required:
  • SET-Meeting
  • the ÄKO-Runde (if any ÄKO is due to be discussed)
  • the Commitment- Meeting with parts Suppliers, if involved in the Project
  • Meetings with Plant Experts
  • Project Meeting with I/ER-x Leader
  • any possible other meeting (like FMK, Secondary surfaces, FMEA, Technical meetings, Simulations Meetings, Cubing, General Project Meeting, ...) on demand and as "Deputy" of EK-Dept. from Italdesign if necessary
  • Prepare ÄKO’s for technical modification or P-/B-/K-Releases with IDG BTV.
  • Collect the information from Pland Production experts and/or Suppliers in term of cost and timing.
  • Presentation of the ÄKO’s in SET-Meeting.
  • Support the Team-Leader from Italdesign to prepare technical-documentations for ÄKOs and special meetings/events.

· Achievement of the project’s technical objectives relevant to the perimeter of responsibility;

· Management of "escalation" activities relating to serious problems with a proposed solution;

· Promotion of the work of the Organizational Unit within the company and towards of the Group Brands.
