Giugiaro Design has outlined men’s and women’s wetsuits for Mares on several occasions, and has also helped in the design of other items of diving equipment.
The interesting issues in this sector are materials, which have to be resistant to particular environmental conditions, and components, which must be conceived to be extremely practical to wear, and easy to use.
The association of strictly technical needs and fashion trends gave rise to fresh, new, boldly tailored garments. These wetsuits, previously characterized by the colour black, were suitably enhanced by the experiment.
