As trainee, you will be supported by your Tutor to improve and learn all the technical aspects in Design field, along with instruments, procedures of a professional organization.

According to your University background and passion, you will have the opportunity to join one of the field of competences of the Design Departments, such as: interior, exterior, VR, CAS exterior and CAS interior, CMF and HMI for the automotive sector, or product for our Industrial business unit.

In an international context, you will learn how to work in team and how to propose aesthetics solutions in accordance with the customer’s need.

Italdesign is looking for enthusiastic new graduated engineers passionate about automotive willing to join an innovative and international business environment, working in agile way and enjoying the teamwork spirit.

You will gain a great experience learning all the instruments, procedures, and technical aspects with the support of colleagues of the Department.

According to your interests and educational background, you will develop skills within some different areas related to Electric and Electronic field:

• User Experience Research and Design;
• Software development;
• Infotainment / sound / switches Components and Functions;
• Connected Car.

Function "Traffic sign recognition"

Working environment

The position is located in the ADAS development department in Gaimersheim. You will take on tasks within the Traffic Sign Recognition team and be responsible for the concept design and implementation of the tool chain. The project consists of a hardware and a software part.

Tasks

A) Theoretical part

• Familiarization with the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/1958;
• Definition of the concept for the tool chain;
• Definition of the homologation test procedure;

B) Practical part on the vehicle

• Creation of an evaluation tool;
• Reenactments of type tests on the proving ground;
• Recording, analyzing and comparing measurement data;
• Support with the installation of measurement systems;
• Participation in test drives.
