Verification and Validation Performance Engineer

Italdesign is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Verification and Validation (V&V) Performance Engineer, who will be employed in the Vehicle Validation and Verification department of Italdesign based in Turin, having the opportunity of business travel worldwide.

S/He will be responsible to reach the targets of the assigned field of development.


Responsibilities


  • Definition of a V&V testing strategy and synergetic testing plan;
  • Performance of maturity level tests;
  • Confirmation of the planned maturity levels of all vehicle functions;
  • Ensure that all vehicle functions reach the maturity levels in time according to the milestones;
  • Coordination and tracking of all V&V activities for the system and sub-systems;
  • Creation of status reports including risk analysis and escalation in case of deviations;
  • Presenting of status reports even on high management level;
  • Creation and presentation of the vehicle characteristics report;
  • Planning, preparation and active attendance to test drives on management level.

Requirements

Key requirements


  • At least 3 years of experience in vehicle testing, validation, or vehicle development;
  • Experience of presenting on management level;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Knowledge of Whole Vehicle Development processes;
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving ability in cross-functional and multi-cultural environment;
  • Ability to effectively communicate timelines and project progress to management levels;
  • Ability to integrate and work in a cross-functional team;
  • Persistence and endurance to overcome significant challenges;
  • Convincing, asserting and strong presentation skills are mandatory;
  • Ability to work to a very high level of accuracy and detail.

Additional Information


  • Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or equivalent;
  • Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English and German (at least B2 level);
