Almost ten years have passed since Torino was nominated World Design Capital, a recognition that is awarded every two years by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) and which has turned the spotlight on the city’s ability to recognize design as a factor of economic, social and cultural growth.

On the occasion of the General Assembly of the World Design Organization™, the City of Torino promote Torino Design of the City – events, meetings, conferences, exhibitions, guided tours – with the objective to explain how design could work on a complex item as the city, to reach innovative and sustainable solutions.

Italdesign is working on solutions for future mobility since the 70s with projects such: New York TaxiCapsula, Biga, until the latest Pop.Up. Thanks to its 40-years experience and a continuous investment in R&D, Italdesign is one of the key speaker at the event.

Pop.Up, introduced earlier this year, is a concept for mass mobility in 2030 Megacities: a modular, green solutions to traffic problems in crowded cities.
