A shared commitment

At Italdesign, we believe in the power of solidarity. That’s why we launched Pasto Sospeso together with Sodexo and Unione dei Comuni di Moncalieri, Trofarello, and La Loggia. Thanks to your support, this initiative has grown into more than a project, it’s a community united to provide balanced meals and hope to those who need it most. Thank you for being part of this initiative.

“I wait for lunchtime to arrive, not only because I get to eat something,
but also because I get to talk to someone for a little while.”

Partecipation info

Pasto Sospeso is a community initiative that enables anyone to offer a complete meal to individuals and families in need. Each meal, prepared by the Italdesign canteen, costs €4.50 (VAT included) and includes a starter, a main course, and a side dish, packaged in two heatsealed containers.

When the initiative was first launched in 2023, it was available to Italdesign employees only. Following its success and growing demand, the program was opened to the public in 2024.

Absolutely. Corporate purchases are welcome and invoices can be issued.
Detailed instructions will be provided.

Updates, stories, and distribution results will be shared on Italdesign’s official channels and on the dedicated landing page

After the collection phase ends, a distribution schedule will be set to ensure continuity with previous years. The schedule will define the daily amount of meals prepared and distributed and will take into account company closure days and specific local needs.

Meals are distributed by Unione dei Comuni of Moncalieri, Trofarello and La Loggia, which identifies families in need and manages daily deliveries. This approach is based on experience from 2023, when the first edition revealed many previously unseen vulnerable situations.

The project was launched in response to a direct request from Unione dei Comuni, which reported a steady rise in people facing difficulties.
Since 2023, Italdesign and Sodexo have provided an increasing number of meals every
day:

  • 12 meals per day in 2023
  • 15 meals per day in 2024
  • 18 meals per day in 2025

Working closely with local authorities ensures effective support.
We’re open to partnerships with other areas, please email us with your proposals here: esg@italdesign.it

Yes. Italdesign commits to purchasing additional meals based on participation, aiming to reach this year’s goal of 4,400 meals, which will allow us to provide 20 meals per day.

If we hit the target before the campaign ends, Italdesign will consider buying more meals, depending on kitchen capacity and planning.

No. Under Article 83 of Legislative Decree 117/2017, the purchase is not deductible because it is not a direct donation to a non-profit organization (ONLUS).

Meals are prepared by Italdesign’s canteen before the lunch service begins and are collected every morning, around 11:00 AM, by operators from Unione dei Comuni of Moncalieri, Trofarello, and La Loggia.
