The aim of Italdesign<\/strong> with the GTZero<\/strong> project<\/strong> was to explore the sports car<\/strong> segment, a great classic<\/strong> in the history of the car, but giving it an interpretation in line with the times and designing<\/strong> a high-tech, sustainable <\/strong>and versatile version. <\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cNowadays concern for the environment<\/strong> and new technologies<\/strong> allow us to design clean<\/strong> and performing cars<\/strong>,\u201d Filippo Perini, Head of Design at Italdesign declared. \u201cHowever, the car\u2019s aesthetic personality will be preserved<\/strong>: irrespective of the type of fuel system, the various types of car will not disappear, and sports cars will continue to exert a particular appeal<\/strong>. GTZero<\/strong> is our vision for a classic<\/strong>, the Gran Turismo<\/strong>, which looks to the tradition<\/strong> of Italian body designers<\/strong>, but is brought up to date with tomorrow\u2019s technologies and needs. With zero emission<\/strong>, therefore GTZero<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n The GTZero<\/strong> is based on a modular monocoque carbon frame <\/strong>with integrated batteries<\/strong>; it is powered by an electric powertrain<\/strong> consisting of three motors<\/strong>, two on the front axle and one on the rear, which is able to deliver an overall power <\/strong>of 360 kW<\/strong> with four-wheel drive <\/strong>and four-wheel steering<\/strong>; its top speed<\/strong> is limited to 250 km\/h<\/strong> and it has a range<\/strong> of about 500 km<\/strong>. 80% of the charge is achievable in about 30 minutes.<\/p>\n The Gran Turismo\u2019s sleek<\/strong> and dynamic profile<\/strong> is combined with a wide and comfortable <\/strong>passenger compartment: it can accommodate two adults and two children or, by moving the passenger seat forward, three adults and a child, behind the driver.
