After nine years, a hatchback for Seat\u2019s new European drive.<\/p>\n

A family relationship with the previous model, sturdy<\/b>, quality<\/b> with low-cost<\/b>: this was the brief for the new Ibiza<\/b>, after the success<\/b> of the first, historical model of 1984.<\/p>\n

As far as the architectural aspect was concerned, the most important element was a slender<\/b>, curved<\/b> rear pillar<\/b> that descended to the light cluster <\/b>and was a development<\/b> of the previous version.<\/p>\n

The new Seat <\/b>was derived<\/b> from the floorpan<\/b> of the VW Polo <\/b>and therefore the dimensions were more compact<\/b> than the first Ibiza<\/b>. Most important new feature was the front bumper<\/b>, similar in design to that of the Toledo<\/b> but made out of metal<\/b> instead of a single block of plastic, a more eco-friendly<\/b> solution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
