At the 1994 Turin motor show, Fiat asked \u201ccarrozzieri\u201d belonging to ANFIA to come up with their own interpretation of the Punto, which was launched during the previous year.<\/p>\n

The Firepoint<\/b> is a high-performing<\/b> 2+2 coup\u00e9<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Much attention<\/b> was dedicated to the car\u2019s aerodynamics<\/b>, which are clearly aeronautically<\/b> inspired<\/b>. The dome-shaped<\/b> roof<\/b> over the car<\/b>\u2018s body<\/b> is completely transparent<\/b> and reminiscent of the pilots<\/b>\u2018 cabins<\/b> of hunter aircraft<\/b>. The backward raked pillar of the wraparound windscreen<\/b> is reminiscent in appearance to cars<\/b> of the 1950s and 1960s.<\/p>\n

Access<\/b> to the car<\/b> is via the solution previously adopted for the 50 BMW Nazca <\/b>of 1991: the door<\/b> opens in traditional<\/b> manner, while the windows<\/b> have a gull wing opening mechanism<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The side windows <\/b>and the rear window <\/b>are removable<\/b> and the Firepoint<\/b> can be converted<\/b> to a roadster<\/b> due to its central rollbar <\/b>and the connecting structure <\/b>between rollbar<\/b> and windscreen<\/b>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
