The Cal\u00e0 is a high-performing sporty saloon designed for daily use and created for standard production.<\/p>\n

The Cal\u00e0<\/b>, introduced at the Geneva motor show <\/b>in 1995, is a research prototype <\/b>for a 2+2 coup\u00e9<\/b> that can be converted<\/b> to an open-topped car <\/b>similar to the Targa<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In stylistic terms, the car clearly displays the influence of conventional Lamborghini traits<\/b>, namely Miura-derived<\/b> front headlights<\/b> and a windscreen<\/b> reminiscent of the Countach<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The Cal\u00e0<\/b> is, however, significantly higher<\/b> for reasons of comfort<\/b>. The well-lit passenger compartment <\/b>can in fact easily accommodate two adults<\/b> and two children<\/b>. The carbon fibre body <\/b>is anchored to an aluminium chassis <\/b>with the adoption of a brand-new technology <\/b>involving folded<\/b>, bonded panels<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The mechanical layout <\/b>was designed by Lamborghini<\/b>, with a new V10<\/b>, 3961 cc<\/b>, 372 HP<\/b>, 7200 rpm engine<\/b> fitted in a mid-rear position<\/b>, combined with rear-wheel drive<\/b>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
