The sporting nature of the Scighera taken to extremes in a version designed for endurance races.<\/p>\n

The Scighera GT <\/b>introduced at the Geneva International motor show <\/b>of 1997 alongside the road version<\/b> displayed certain substantial differences despite its unchanged design<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The front-end<\/b> in this case was produced in a single piece incorporating the grille<\/b>, wings<\/b> and bonnet<\/b>: made out of carbon fibre <\/b>instead of aluminium<\/b>, it could be completely removed and was hinged<\/b> to the sides.<\/p>\n

The doors<\/b> open in conventional manner but the windows<\/b> are fixed<\/b>. The side line <\/b>reveals large air intakes <\/b>near the central engine<\/b>, a 3000 cc, 400 hp Alfa Romeo biturbo V6 unit<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The rear<\/b> is also made out of carbon fibre <\/b>and emphasised by a monoplane spoiler <\/b>fitted centrally at the end of the tail<\/b>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
