Twenty Twenty: the first Aston Martin open-topped car, designed for 2020.<\/p>\n

The architecture<\/b> of the Twenty Twenty open-topped car <\/b>continued the experience<\/b> gained with the Capsula<\/b> (1982) and the Structura<\/b> (1998): both of these concept cars <\/b>assigned the structures overlying the floorpan<\/b> the role of a motif \u2013 of a dominant aesthetic feature<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Here the technological aesthetics <\/b>are load-bearing in both the literary and the technical sense. The structures<\/b>, all in aluminium are on full view and determine the pace<\/b> and route<\/b> directly. The parts forming the body<\/b> rest on top and do not conceal the engineering<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The lines<\/b> and modulations<\/b> normally conveyed by light reflected off surfaces are in this case traced by structural sections <\/b>in extruded aluminium<\/b>.<\/p>\n
