{"id":3558,"date":"2018-03-30T12:40:03","date_gmt":"2018-03-30T10:40:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.italdesign.it\/?p=3558"},"modified":"2025-11-28T17:00:17","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T16:00:17","slug":"italdesign-to-sign-a-memorandum-of-interests-with-the-city-of-turin-on-autonomous-driving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.italdesign.it\/en\/italdesign-to-sign-a-memorandum-of-interests-with-the-city-of-turin-on-autonomous-driving\/","title":{"rendered":"Italdesign to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Turin on autonomous driving"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><\/h3>\n<p>This morning, inside <strong>City of Turin<\/strong> \u201cPalazzo Civico\u201d, <strong>Italdesign<\/strong> signed, together with the <strong>Mayor Chiara Appendino<\/strong>, the memorandum of understanding \u201cCity of Turin Lab for Autonomous and Connected Driving in an Urban Environment\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of this memorandum is to create\u00a0<strong>\u201cSmart Road\u201d<\/strong>, a project involving road infrastructures to test solutions for future mobility, specifically connected and autonomous driving; the City of Turin will give the companies signing the memorandum access to dedicated roads and telematics infrastructures, that already exist or that can be built on purpose.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re really interested in signing this document \u2013 <strong>Member of the Board of Italdesign Salvatore Cieri said<\/strong> \u2013 it perfectly matches our company strategy. To create a virtuous collaborations between Institutions, companies and universities, is a fundamental and essential condition to make mobility research a reality.
