Italdesign’s subsidiary in Barcelona, Spain, hosts the PrintDesign-3D department. It is one of the most modern 3D printing centers in the world, with a Objet1000plus printer, where we can print pieces up to 1 meter in length.

With a total of 7 printers, we offer the possibility of producing objects using the 3 principal 3D technologies: Polyjet, SLA y FDM.

POLYJET

The Polyjet technology is a powerful method of additive manufacturing, which uses a simple method to produce precise tools, objects and prototypes. With a layer resolution of 16 micras and accuracy down to 0,1 mm, it produces thin walls and complex geometries using the widest range of materials available with any technology. Polyjet technology offers an exceptional level of detail, surface smoothness and accuracy, as well as the possibility of printing in digital materials like Digital ABS, High Temperature, Transparent, Rigid Opaque, Simulated Polypropylene, Rubber-like, Bio-compatibles and Dental materials.

SLA

The SLA technology, also known as Stereolithography, is a process in which liquid photopolymer is converted into a solid plastic, layer by layer, using an ultraviolet laser. Currently SLA allows you to print in a wide range of materials, with good mechanical properties, high resistance, flexibility and transparency.

FDM

FDM Technology works with production-grade thermoplastics to build strong, durable and dimensionally stable parts with the best accuracy and repeatability of any 3D printing technology. 3D Print your concept models, prototypes, accessories and final products in well-known materials like ABS and PLA. FDM technology creates objects in the same stable and resistant plastic that is used in injection molds, in CNC machining and in other traditional manufacturing processes. Take advantage of the efficiency of 3D printing while relying on tested, established thermoplastics.

Basic finish. The piece is cleaned when it comes out of the printer and sanded until it is ready for priming.

PAINTED

The piece is primed, painted, varnished and any necessary adhesives are applied. The best finish for presenting a final product.

CHROME PLATED

We have different methods available to give metal and chrome finished to all the pieces we produce.
