CAE Analysis
The Computer Aided Engineering Department (CAE) supports development activities by using instruments to analyse and optimise components and their performances.
Using highly specialized hardware and software, our engineers can visualize and interpret the characteristics of the components when subject to innumerable load alternatives right from the initial developmental stages.
Starting from CAD models perpared by th eplanning departments, we develop mathematical models that enable us to assess not only the structural behaviour of components, but also the overall behaviour of the entire vehicle, anticipating the results of experimental findings. Special mathematical codes can be used to predict the behaviour of a vehicle in a crash, to determine its aerodynamic behaviour and to describe the driver's perception of manoeuvrability under conditions of lateral movement.
Our experience in the use of CAE methods enables us to offer our clients a shorter and less expensive validation period.
Through our flexible and customer-oriented structure, over the course of the years we have built up skill in the use of many software packages, thus guaranteeing the world's leading car makers consistency and the ability to use data with their own internal databases.

Geometrical integration
Proper tolerance evaluation for a top quality product in a robust industrial process. This is the aim of the analysis that our engineers perform since the definition of the styling shape. Definition of proper gap's and flushes target achievable at the plant. Evaluation of different assembly solution to reduce the tolerance chain length, negotiation with suppliers and production plant to assure that what you want is what you get since the start of production, support at the production plant to achieve the quality target.
These are the activities, fully integrated with other engineering areas, we perform all along the product development process, by using specific tools to have the right evaluation of what the industrial process are able to produce.

Digital mock-up and virtual car
Long time before the first vehicle is assembled at the customer's production plant, the complete vehicles are virtually assembled. The virtual vehicle is the sum of all information which describe the product. A continuously updated virtual car is the prerequisite for assembly checks trough all the production process sequences.

Vehicle Architecture

In the design department, everything is created and developed through the use of state-of-the-art CAE and CAD technologies. The design approach and checks are determined by the experience of our engineers and technicians.
This initial stage takes place in parallel with the style development activities performed by the Style Centre and makes use of the Virtual Reality Centre. As soon as the models and 3-D renderings are complete, a team of designers performs the first feasibility studies on the shapes and lines chosen for the vehicle - or object of industrial design.
Seamless integration between these two departments makes it possible to implement a simultaneous process, thus optimising development times and costs.
